Hands in Motion OT specializes in providing high-quality occupational therapy services that cater to helping individuals thrive. Our focus is on determining how a client's fine/gross motor skills, visual perceptual skills, body awareness, and sensory processing affect their ability to use their hands for handwriting, self care, and sports through tailored therapy interventions. We believe in a holistic approach to determine what underlying deficits may be limiting growth and development in meaningful and purposeful activities. Our vision is to ensure each client, with family support, achieves their personal goals utilizing the skills and expertise of occupational hand therapy. Our concierge-style model allows therapy to take place in your home, pre-school, or daycare so we can better understand our client's routines and challenges leading to more meaningful, real-life outcomes.

*Handwriting Without Tears® is the main curriculum we use to assess, remediate, and address handwriting issues as well as other methods, sources, and clinical judgement utilized by occupational therapists.

Our Comprehensive OT Hand Skill Evaluation provides a thorough assessment of your child's fine motor skills, gross motor skills, visual perceptual skills, sensory processing abilities, self care, and handwriting skills. Includes detailed written report and 30-minute virtual consultation to discuss the findings, recommendations, and a personalized plan of care. 1-Hour Hand Skills Treatment Session

Pay for each treatment session individually and our therapist can continue the plan of care discussed after the initial evaluation to help your child thrive in areas that help them achieve the handwriting skills, motor skills, sport, or self care abilities that are most important to them and your family. 15 minute parent training is included or integrated into each session.

Give your child the gift of improving their handwriting, motor skills, sport skills, or self-care with a bundled package.

Includes details listed under Hand Skills Evaluation and Hand Treatment Sessions, plus a brief evaluation during the 6th treatment so you can see your child's progress and discuss goals. If more treatment is warranted, it can be discussed at that time.

1 - Hour Orthopedic Evaluation

Expert Evaluation to get you back on the court faster.

Orthopedic Evaluation offers a comprehensive 60-minute assessment focused on tennis and pickleball rehabilitation. We will evaluate your movement patterns and develop a personalized home exercise program to accelerate your recovery and return to play. If necessary, we may also recommend treatment sessions to ensure your rehabilitation stays on track, empowering you to regain your active lifestyle.

1-Hour Orthopedic Treatment

Recover faster and return to the activities you enjoy with expert care.

Comprehensive rehabilitation for sports and activity-related injuries. We utilize therapeutic modalities such as e-stim, heat, ice, and KT taping alongside targeted massage and injury-specific exercises to get you back to the activities you love.

Is Hands in Motion OT in Network?

Hands in Motion OT (HIMOT) operates as a self-pay practice.
We value quality direct care with enough time for meaningful treatment and parent/guardian communication.
We offer lower rates than most competitors around the country.
HIMOT is considered an out-of-network provider with insurance companies.
South Carolina is a Direct Access state, therefore, a referral is not required to schedule an appointment. However, based on the evaluation, it may be recommend the client see their doctor prior to treatment.
Payment is due at time of service and upon request, clients will be provided with a super-bill invoice detailing specific CPT codes to submit to your insurance company for any potential out-of-network reimbursement or application toward deductible.
At this time, clients with Medicare are able to be seen, however, with the understanding that Medicare will not be billed for the treatment.
Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts will be accepted.
Pediatric Services
- 1.5-hour evaluation and 30 minute virtual follow-up $200.
- 1-hour hand skills treatment $127.
- Hand Skills Bundle is discounted at $800, which includes a 1.5-hour evaluation and 30 minute virtual follow up ($200) and 6 1-hour treatment sessions ($100 each).
Orthopedic Services
- 1-hour orthopedic evaluation $150.
- 1-hour orthopedic treatment $127.
